watercolor WEDNESDAY V

September 21, 2011 § 1 Comment

Greetings from Copenhagen City Hall (Rådhus).  The sunset was so beautiful from my studio balcony I snapped a photo to later paint.  I am working with a new cloth-like paper that is much harder to work with and even harder to scan, so bear with me!  Back to 140lb. watercolor paper next week!

Rådhus is Copenhagen’s famed City Hall completed in 1905.  It is designed by brick-layer made architect, Martin Nyrop in the National Romantic style.  The only part visible from the painting is the bell tower, which is one of the tallest towers in the Copenhagen city skyline!

More Copenhagen landmarks to come next week!
